Metolius Aviation Capital was launched in 2006 and focused on commercial aircraft and engine finance until 2020 and the outbreak of Covid.  Since then Metolius Aviation Capital has focused on working with the Aerospace and Defense industries to provide financial solutions for supply chain disruption and inventory.  The war in Europe has amplified the demand for OEM financing and Metolius and partners have been active in this space.

Focus and Technology

Metolius has its roots and relationships in traditional commercial aviation finance and leasing of aircraft and engines.
Metolius now focuses on providing financing to A&D OEMs. Metolius advises companies who require assistance with understanding how to scale and grow through financial optimization of supply chain and inventory.
In addition, Metolius has invested in aviation related technologies and has a team of aerospace engineers is working on AI solutions, prototyping and 3D printing.

Metolius Aviation Capital’s origin comes from the founding family of Air Berlin. Kim Lundgren founded Air Berlin in the 1970’s and his son, Shane, is the founder and CEO of Metolius Aviation Capital.
